COVID-19/Coronavirus Updates |
The Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association remains committed and prepared to safely care for our members and the families they serve during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
And according to the CDC, at this time, there is no known risk associated with being in the same room at a funeral or visitation service with the body of someone who died of confirmed or suspected COVID-19; however, federal, state and local public health guidance may impact the size of gathering a family is able to plan. Wisconsin has currently placed a ban on gathering of 10 or more people, and this includes funerals.
We have gathered some resources for Funeral Homes and families to help guide you through how to safely commemorate the lives of your loved ones. We will continue to add resources as they become available.
