JAMES KLEMMER

Many funeral directors are part of a family legacy...James Klemmer has it in his blood on both sides. He’s a 4th generation funeral director, following in the footsteps of those before him on both his father and mother’s sides, at Heritage Funeral Homes.  

James received his degree in mortuary science from Milwaukee Area Technical College - West Allis in 2008, and he has been working in the funeral industry for about 18 years. Not only was he drawn to the funeral service because of his family, but also his desire to do something meaningful and be able to help people every day.  

He has been involved with the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association for about 8 years. James served as the Milwaukee/Waukesha District President in the past, and currently as the WFDA Vice President. James finds the vast education opportunities that the WFDA offers to be most beneficial. He also appreciates having the resources to reach out to other funeral directors across the state to share stories and learn more about others in the industry.  

In his free time, James spends his time watching soccer, hiking, and reading.
