| This WFDA Leadership Development Foundation was established in 2021 to advance the profession of funeral service. Donations collected will be used to support the continuing education and leadership development of member funeral directors who may not be able to financially participate in advancement programs otherwise. |
DEADLINE: Scholarship submissions to attend the 143rd WDFA Annual Convention must be completed by 5:00pm on Friday, May 3, 2024. Winners will be notified by email by Friday, May 10, 2024. Hotel reservations must be booked by scholarship recipient no later than May 24, 2024 to use the WFDA promo code for a discounted rate of $149.00. DISCLAIMER: By submission of this application, you authorize WFDA and/or the Leadership Development Foundation to use photos and materials from the scholarship application and event. | WFDA ANNUAL CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIP About the Leadership Development Foundation Award: 2 SCHOLARSHIPS of up to $750.00 total value each. Scholarships are available to Licensed Funeral Directors to attend the 143rd WFDA Annual Convention which will be held June 10-12, 2024 at the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley in Appleton, WI. Scholarship recipients will be required to be WFDA Member Licensed Funeral Directors. The scholarship will cover convention registration (WFDA member registration will be paid directly to WFDA, in accordance with WFDA's registration policies) and remaining monies after registration will be paid directly to the recipient once Leadership Development Foundation is provided receipts and/or reimbursement form for either hotel stay OR mileage, and meals. If recipient cannot stay overnight at Hilton Paper Valley in Appleton using WFDA's promo code, recipient may request mileage reimbursement from their member funeral home address to Hilton Paper Valley. Recipient may also request reimbursement for convention meals: limited to June 10, 2024 WFDA LDF Golf Outing Dinner, and/or meals on June 11, 2024. Recipient shall submit required items to: ldf.wfda@gmail.com. A maximum of each scholarship is limited to total amount value of $750.00.
