This month we are highlighting Carolyn Katz, an individual who is involved in WFDA as an Allied Member. Carolyn has been working for the pre-need trust fund management company, Cooperative Funeral Fund, Inc. for 10 years. This company has been a proud member of WFDA for close to 10 years. Carolyn noted that continued support of funeral directors as well as networking opportunities prove to be the main benefits of their WFDA membership and why they keep coming back. She personally enjoys being able to take some of the burden related to pre-need off of funeral directors as well as provide an additional avenue to place pre-need in Wisconsin.

Carolyn was also very involved in WFDA's 2nd annual Professional Women's Conference in April. Cooperative Funeral Fund, Inc. was a sponsor while Carolyn herself was a part of the committee and thoroughly enjoyed attending. The speakers were all outstanding, engaging, and provided valuable, educational content. She also appreciated the opportunity to network with other women intermingled in the funeral industry, both directly and indirectly, and the time to actively focus on a productive work life balance. In the future, Carolyn is looking forward to seeing how much this annual event will expand over time.

In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis as a team captain in a co-ed league and spending time with her family including her mom, brother, son and daughter.
